As vice president of the Global Solutions at Symantec Software Corporation, Jose Iglesias leads the effort of delivering the value in integrating availability and security into Solutions which are of value to customers worldwide. Recently Iglesias additionally led the engineering effort to enable the phenomenal Symantec growth in China and Japan by heading up the local engineering laboratories in the region and demonstrating the Solutions in those local markets. Prior, Iglesias headed the storage foundation products at VERITAS Software by leading the storage foundation business with core components such as  VERITAS Storage Foundation, VERITAS File System, VERITAS Volume Manager, and advanced features such as off-host virtualization, quality of storage service and application aware infrastructure. In addition, Iglesias oversaw the development of joint storage foundation technology capabilities with its strategic partners. During his tenure in VERITAS, Iglesias was responsible for all the company’s entire Product Management and defining expanding the company’s product portfolio into new markets.
Iglesias joined VERITAS from IBM where he most recently was responsible for IBM’s Tivoli Storage product strategy, architecture, development, and advance technology research. During his 23-year career at IBM, Iglesias managed the delivery of high-performance UNIX File Server software as well as the development of disk drive technology and micro code programming. 
Iglesias holds a Bachelor in Mathematics and a Masters in Computer Science, both from Stanford University.  He is a member of various organizations such as the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, IEEE, and Stanford Alumni.
