David S. Lear serves as the Director of Dell's Regulatory Compliance Engineering, and Environmental Affairs (RCEEA). The team is responsible for the strategic alignment and delivery of Dell global product compliance programs, covering global EMC, ESD, Acoustics, Safety and Environmental requirements. RCEEA also engages with key stakeholders such as NGOs, Regulators, Industry Groups, and Agencies to collaborate on global policy and standards development. The team focuses on integration of standardized practices into Dell's global business processes to: drive product innovation, lead in industry compliance, and maximize customer experience. Mr. Lear joined Dell in 2006 as Director of Product Safety and Environmental Affairs, specializing in product safety and environmental design processes, and in 2007 became Director of Global RCEEA.
Prior to joining Dell, Mr. Lear served in various roles in design and manufacturing in the IT and Test & Measurement industry where he specialized in the development and implementation of product and manufacturing technologies. Mr. Lear holds a B.S. in Chemistry and Biology from Missouri State University and a Masters in Finance from the University of Indianapolis.
