Green IT 08 was a GREAT success! |
 |
Many organisations seeking to develop a green IT strategy believe that this needs to begin with addressing their organisations physical IT infrastructure. Whilst the data center is an obvious place to start, maximising efficiencies through, for example, virtualisation and consolidation technologies there are other, often neglected areas that can deliver immediate energy and cost savings such as PC's and other distributed IT. This track will focus on all areas of the enterprise hardware infrastructure. We will offer advice on benchmarking and auditing projects, identify where changes can be made and how they should be implemented. Finally we will identify what solutions are available to positively execute on these.
