Green IT 08 was a GREAT success!

Organisation's have difficult decisions to make when planning for possible future legislation, impacting the way in which they purchase, run and dispose of their IT.  With a current lack of real standards, particularly in the Data Center, self regulation is and will remain difficult, particularly with the levels of uncertainty relating to Central Government and EU policy pertaining to potential energy quota's and IT real estate restrictions.  Outsourcing services remain an option for many but will typically create a new series of challenges.  Sessions presented will help guide an organisation's sourcing, usage and disposal decisions and how planning now for future legislation is critical to any "Green IT" strategy.
